NEW GRO-N-GRAZE® DREAM

Full Season Sorghum Sudangrass Hybrid

DREAM is 25-30 days later to 1⁄2 bloom than currently grown conventional sorghum sudangrass hybrids which allows it time to produce additional dry matter (DREAM Irrigated Tones/Acre 25-30 Vs. Conventional Sorghum Sudangrass Hybrids 18-25 Tons/Acre). This DREAM has exceptional drought resistance, excellent tillering, and regrowth capability. Because this hybrid is not photoperiod sensitive it can be sown at any daylength and experience the added benefits of delayed maturity.

DREAM should be treated as conventional sorghum sudangrass hybrid as far as planting rates, fertilization, grazing, haying etc. Growers can wait longer to harvest crop growth, therefore greater yield from the hybrid. At Stephenville, TX DREAM produced 26% more dry matter than the widely grown commercial check. Digestibility data suggest that this hybrid has greater IVTD values than other conventional sorghum sudangrass hybrids (76.1 vs. 77.2%). When comparing Total Digestible Dry Matter, DREAM produced 23% more than the commercial check. Increased protein content also appears to be greater in this hybrid than other conventional hybrids. For most growers this breakthrough in maturity for sorghum sudangrass hybrids adds yet another benefit to their summer grazing or haying regime. DREAM fits between the conventional earlier maturing sorghum sudangrass hybrids and the newer photoperiod sensitive hybrids. This allows growers to benefit from both types of hybrid types and add synergistic benefits for profit.
