Management Notes:
TRIT PLUS is a blend known for its excellent forage production capabilities. This mix of varieties is designed for use in
irrigated land or areas of high rainfall. Top yield performance, high quality grazing, strong winter hardiness, and good stability
are all traits that make TRIT PLUS an excellent choice for grazing along with winter crop production. The oats are utilized for
early emergence, good ground cover for early grazing, decreased weed pressures, and wind erosion maintenance. This blend
performs best at a planting rate between 75 and 100 lbs per acre. Fertilizers with increased P & K are needed for Fall
application at the rate of 20 to 30 lbs. above the rate for wheat. At least 100 units of N are needed with 1/3 applied in the Fall
and remaining 2/3’s applied in the Spring. |
